STOREFRONTS
Aggregate sales and order totals reflect multiple documented storefronts and archived Etsy analytics. The detailed case study below focuses on the primary storefront, which generated $6.3K+ in sales and 846 orders.
THE PROJECT
Turning fandom knowledge into an e-commerce strategy.
I built and operated multiple Etsy storefronts serving a niche Taylor Swift fan community. I identified products fans were actively searching for, designed physical and digital merchandise around those interests, optimized listings for Etsy search, and developed a consistent customer experience from discovery through delivery.
My role: Strategy · Audience research · Product design · SEO · Creator outreach · Branding · Order fulfillment
THE STRATEGY
Designed around how fans actually search, shop, and connect.
The storefront's products, listings, and customer experience were shaped around the language and shared references of a niche fan community.
01 · AUDIENCE
Used firsthand familiarity with fan culture to identify products, references, and designs that would feel specific to the community.
02 · DISCOVERY
Wrote searchable listing titles and descriptions and used relevant keywords to help products appear through Etsy Search.
03 · EXPERIENCE
Created a cohesive customer experience through product presentation, branded packaging materials, and fan-specific details.
VISUAL IDENTITY · PRODUCT DESIGN
Building a brand fans would immediately recognize.
The visual system combined recognizable fan references with consistent typography, colors, packaging, and customer touchpoints.

PRODUCT DESIGN
Souvenir tickets made to feel personal, collectible, and specific to each era.
I designed physical and customizable ticket-style products using recognizable visual references while adapting each piece for individual events and fan preferences.

CUSTOM PACKAGE STAMP
COMMUNITY FLUENCY
An inside joke can do brand work.
The discount code “NOITSBECKY” references a well-known inside joke among Taylor Swift fans. Including it made the post-purchase experience feel created by someone within the community—not simply marketed toward it.
This kind of audience-specific detail helped reinforce the shop’s personality while encouraging repeat purchases.
PERFORMANCE · RESULTS
Search visibility translated into real demand.
The storefronts’ discovery strategy combined Etsy search optimization, marketplace visibility, direct traffic, and targeted creator outreach. I sent gifted products to established fan-focused TikTok creators, resulting in organic product features shared with their audiences.
SELECTED TICKET LISTING
One ticket listing generated 106 orders.
This individual listing received 1,748 views, 152 favorites, and $351 in attributed revenue, demonstrating demand for occasion-specific products within the fan community.

The featured storefront generated 846 total orders and $6.3K+ in sales. Across all documented storefronts, the broader project generated $26K+ in documented sales and more than 1,100 orders.
PROJECT TAKEAWAY
Community knowledge became a measurable business advantage.
This project showed me how audience insight can shape an entire customer journey—from product concepts and search language to creator outreach, packaging, and repeat-purchase incentives.

The selected pieces show performance-driven hook construction, relationship storytelling, visual-concept editing, and long-form comedic pacing across television fandoms.
FEATURED EDIT 01 · GREY’S ANATOMY

A dialogue-led opening establishes immediate tension before shifting into an emotionally escalating character montage. Clip selection, music, and pacing build toward a clear payoff while staying recognizable to the fandom audience.

FEATURED EDIT 02 · GREY’S ANATOMY
Meredith & Alex: Relationship Storytelling
A thematic opening frames the edit around loyalty before compressing years of friendship into one concise narrative. Each selected clip develops the idea that Alex became Meredith’s person rather than functioning as a disconnected montage.

CREATIVE PROCESS
Every edit starts with the audience, not the software.

Documented audience response to the completed 25-chapter project on AO3.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A long-form story built for the way fandom audiences read online.
The project was written and published across 25 chapters, using custom visual modules to represent the characters’ digital communication. Instead of relying only on prose descriptions, I created platform-inspired interfaces that allowed emails, text messages, social posts, images, and moving media to become part of the reader’s experience.
CUSTOM INTERFACES
Digital communication became part of the storytelling.
I recreated familiar communication formats so readers could experience conversations visually and immediately. Each interface was adapted to fit AO3’s technical limitations while maintaining recognizable hierarchy, spacing, typography, and character voice.

EMAIL INTERFACE
A familiar format made the exchange immediate.
The email layout used recognizable fields, hierarchy, and spacing so readers could understand the conversation instantly while remaining immersed in the narrative.
MESSAGING INTERFACE
Text exchanges carried pacing, humor, and character voice.
The messaging layout recreated the rhythm of a real conversation through alternating bubbles, short responses, and visually distinct speakers, allowing dialogue to move quickly without losing clarity.

SOCIAL THREAD INTERFACE
A platform-inspired thread supported humor and visual media.
The social thread recreated recognizable post, reply, profile, and engagement patterns within AO3’s technical constraints. The full version also incorporated animated reaction media directly into the exchange, allowing visual humor to function as part of the narrative.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The format always followed the story.
I chose each interface based on how the characters would realistically communicate and what the scene needed to accomplish. The process involved writing the exchange, identifying the most effective format, recreating the visual structure, testing readability across devices, and adjusting spacing or scale to work within AO3’s platform limitations.

PROJECT TAKEAWAY
Technical constraints became part of the creative opportunity.
This project strengthened my ability to translate audience behavior and narrative goals into clear digital experiences. It also taught me how to design within an existing platform, solve formatting limitations creatively, and use familiar interfaces to make content more immediate, engaging, and memorable.
